Shafaq News / The Iraqi Ministry of Transport revealed on Tuesday, the suspension of flights to and from China, after the spread of Corona virus.
"The scheduled Iraqi Airways flights to China were suspended on the 21st of last month. The decision came after the spread of the Corona virus, and to prevent its arrival in the country," The Ministry’s spokesman , Salem Moussa told Shafaq News.
Moussa said, "Until now, no date has been set so far for the return of scheduled Iraqi Airways flights to China, we cant talk about this matter now."
The Chinese Civil Aviation Authority announced on Tuesday, that 46 foreign airlines have suspended their flights to China.
And several countries have stopped flights to China because of the new "Corona" virus, in light of Chinese data on the deaths of more than 400 people as a result of acute pneumonia, caused by infection with this virus.
China has taken strict measures to prevent the spread of the virus, including quarantining more than 50 million people in Wuhan and surrounding Hubei, the central province with its capital, Wuhan.
