Shafaq News/ The provincial police directorate denied on Thursday the arrest of an official in Karbala province of two officers and more than 15 affiliates in one of the external security checkpoints of Karbala.

Police said in a statement that "a journalist in the province and through his personal page reported that one of the officials in the province arrested two officers and more than 15 security members in one of the external security checkpoints."

The statement added that we would like to clarify the following;

First: - The news is false and does not pertain to reality with any connection

Second: - The fact of the matter is that there is a violation by two security members  number, who did not perform their duty properly and according to the reported contexts and controls and were held accountable by the directorate in accordance with the law.

Third: - We welcome any proposal that is constructive, accurate and objective in order to monitor and correct the work and performance of our security forces to be referred to us to know the truth of the information and to evaluate the work and that our doors are open to all to serve our holy city of Karbala.

Fourth: - The police command is keen on the reputation of its officers and its members and their performance and work properly in accordance with the proper work mechanisms.
