Shafaq News / The Iraqi forces announced on Saturday, concluding the second "Heroes of Victory" operation, west of Anbar province, which lasted for three consecutive days in two pages and ended with clearing (12) valleys and searching 35 villages.
"The second Operation Heroes of Victory achieved a great security achievement in Anbar and the surrounding provinces, as the operation cut off the supply ways to the enemy in addition to cutting communication among the sleeping cells, most of which ended in detention," the commander of Anbar's operations of the Popular Mobilization Forces(PMF) Qasim Musleh said in a statement reported to Shafaq News.
"The inspected area reached more than (17,000) square kilometers, most of which have difficult geographical terrain that includes valleys, hills and tunnels, in addition to raiding and searching (35) villages and seizing (two vehicles) and four motorcycles, in addition to helping families living in remote villages which suffers from many diseases to get medical aid," he added..
The operations commander indicated that "the operation witnessed the arrest of two terrorists, in addition to (14) suspects who were handed over to the competent authorities and seized (9) light weapons, a Kalashnikov type, an Internet system, and the destruction of one den."
He explained that "the second victory champions operation ended with the inspection of the Jordanian-Saudi border strip and security loose areas that was a springboard for terrorist operations against the people and the security forces."
