Shafaq News / An ISIS leader who was a candidate to succeed ISIS leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi was arrested on Wednesday ,the Iraqi Intelligence Service announced.
"The terrorist named Nasser al-Qirdash, the candidate to succeed the criminal al-Baghdadi has been arrested,” a brief statement of Iraqi intelligence received by Shafaq News agency announced.
Al-Baghdadi was killed in a U.S. airdrop last October in the countryside of Idlib governorate, northern Syria.
Later, ISIS organization appointed Abu Ibrahim al-Hashemi al-Qurashi as its leader, succeeding al-Baghdadi.
