Diyala province is suffering from a political crisis related to the mechanism of the formation of the local government since last year.
"The situation is stable in Diyala province in terms of political and security situation and it need to compromise to end the problems relating to local government before any military action,” Khalidi , a representative of the province told “Shafaq News”.
Al-Khalidi added that, "any action to target terrorism need a pause from all sides, which must be preceded by a solution to the political problems and a settlement to the local government’s file."
Security reports indicate the return of "Daash" organization to spread in a number of areas northern and western Baquba in the framework of reorganizing its ranks.
According to military reports, numbers of "Daash" militants have moved into Nineveh, Salahuddin and Diyala provinces to ease the pressure on their other elements in Anbar.
