Shafaq News / Khanaqin district administration, northeast of Diyala, announced that it is free of any infections with Corona virus, indicating at the same time the stability of economic conditions in all areas of the district and its sub-districts.
The administration officer of the District , Delir Hassan Sayeh said in an interview with Shafaq News, that Khanaqin and its suburbs "Al-Saadiya, Jalwla and Qarah Tabh" have not recorded any cases of Corona virus during the past periods due to the commitment and full awareness by citizens of the instructions of the local crisis cell in Diyala.
He pointed to the stability of the markets and the flow of food supplies to Khanaqin without any obstacles across Kalar border district with Sulaimaniyah and other areas of the province.
Diyala province has recorded 18 cases of coronavirus since the third of last March, 15 of them recovered and 3 deaths were recorded.
Sayeh called on Khanaqin residents and its dependencies to fully comply with the curfew instructions and the crisis cell instructions to overcome the current pandemic and return life to its normal course, pointing to the high coordination and cooperation between the crisis cell in the province and the administration of Khanaqin, which resulted in great positive results regarding the epidemic crisis.
Khanaqin is located in Diyala province, near the border with Iran, and it is one of the disputed areas. The majority of the residents of Khanaqin district speaks Kurdish language and inhabited by a Kurdish majority, a Turkmen minority, and some Arab tribes.
