The sources also confirmed that candidate for the Democratic Party of Kurdistan within “Failiyon” bloc in Wasit province, got the highest votes .
The sources told “Shafaq News " , that after the process of counting in a number of polling stations in the capital Baghdad , the coalition got about eight thousand votes in a preliminary outcome “.
The sources noted that the number might increase after the completion of the counting votes in the rest of the polling stations .
They said that voters living outside Iraq and Kurdistan Region will be added to the final number , which will contribute to the possibility of obtaining seats in the Iraqi Parliament from Baghdad.
Meanwhile, civil observers revealed to “Shafaq News " , that the candidate of the Democratic Party of Kurdistan within Failiyon” bloc in Wasit province got the highest votes province among the candidates in it”.
It is worth mentioning that the Iraqi parliamentary elections were held , on Wednesday , to elect 328 MPs representing eighteen Iraqi provinces that took place in conjunction with the provincial councils and districts elections of Kurdistan .
The Independent High Electoral Commission said that the preliminary figures indicate that about 12 million Iraqis participated from about 20 million who are eligible to vote at a rate of about 60 %.
The polling stations began counting as a prelude to announce the results in the next few days.
