This came at the request of members of parliament and when put to the vote it won a majority.

According to the Speaker of the Parliament, Yusuf Mohammed, this was due to the deterioration of the security situation in the country, especially in some areas outside the Kurdish region and the financial crisis that is currently plaguing the region.

According to the rules of procedure of the Parliament, its members have winter and summer holidays , the duration of each of them is two months.
