Iraq still tops the most corrupt countries in addition to Somalia, Sudan, Libya and Syria ; out of 177 countries , according to the latest report released by Transparency International Organization .
Maliki said during recovering looted money from Iraq conference, attended by " Shafaq News", that looting wealth and corruption usually take place under dictatorships and some of the consequences taking place in the countries , noting that if we wanted to go in fight against corruption as well as terrorism then solutions must be found.
He pointed out that before the previous regime falls, it looted a lot of money and deposit it by other named in some banks outside the country , calling for the need for cooperation and the adoption of international politician to recover Iraq's looted money.
It is worth mentioning that corruption in the institutions of the Iraqi state has worsened progressively since 2003 as all attempts by the Iraqi government have failed; , which led to the collapse of infrastructure , and the failure of most of the projects that have been announced , particularly in the services field .
