Shafaq News/ The Iranian ambassador to Baghdad, Irag Masjidi, announced on Sunday that his country is sending Iraq a ton of medical aid and equipment to help combating COVID-19 pandemic.
"Iran sent with Zarif a ton of medical and health aid to Iraq to confront Corona," Masjidi said in a press statement, from Baghdad International Airport while receiving the Iranian Minister of Foreign affairs, Muhammad Javad Zarif.
The ambassador expressed his hope that the world could quickly ameliorate this pandemic, which struck all the nations of the world, especially the Iranian and Iraqi nations.
Masjidi indicated that there is good cooperation between the Iranian Ministry of Health and its Iraqi counterpart in COVID-19 file as well as in other medical and health fields.
Zarif arrived Sunday morning in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, for a one-day official visit.
