The Iraqi Ministry of Health announced today, Tuesday, the highest Covid-19 death toll and daily new confirmed cases since the virus started to spread in the country. 519 new cases and twenty fatalities were registered, while 233 cases achieved full recovery from the disease.
The Ministry's daily epidemiological report received by Shafaq news indicated that sum of the samples examined since discovering the disease in Iraq rose to 251714 after collecting and examining another 134,643 sample in the specialized laboratories accredited by the ministry today.
The 519 new cases today were distributed as the following:
• Baghdad/Al-Rasafah: 145
• Baghdad/Al-Karkh: 166
• Medical city: 39
• Al-Najaf: 21
• Al-Basrah: 25
• Al-Sulaymaniyah: 28
• Erbil: 1
• Duhok: 6
• Karbala: 31
• Dayala: 5
• Babel: 9
• Maysan: 34
• Al-Muthanna: 8
• Nineveh: 1
Regarding the recovery cases, the ministry confirmed 233 cases distributed as follows:
• Baghdad/Al-Rasafah: 104
• Baghdad/Al-Karkh: 52
• Medical city: 17
• Al-Basrah: 4
• Dayala: 2
• Karbala:17
• Dhi qar: 34
• Nineveh: 3
The ministry also confirmed 20 death cases today, distributed as follows:
• Baghdad/Al-Rasafah: 12
• Baghdad/Al-Karkh: 2
• Medical city: 1
• Babel: 2
• Wasit: 2
• Al-Muthanna: 1
