Shafaq News / MP , Ali Al-Sijry announced on Sunday, his withdrawal from al-Benaa Alliance.
Al-Sijri said in a statement received by Shafaq News that "in light of the continuing popular movement demanding its legitimate rights, and the growing state of rejection of the forms of violence used against demonstrators and civil activists and failure to respond to these demands despite the assurances of the religious reference, we confirm our support for the voice of the people calling for change and reform, and reject all forms of Domination, dependency, and external interference as we demand political forces to listen to the demanding protest movements and meet their legitimate rights, and to prevent all attempts to impose candidates for prime minister posts with external orders that are not consistent with the demands of the people.
He added, "This current stage requires the cooperation of all parties to overcome the political crisis and the formation of a national government that is consistent with the demands of the demonstrators. After we have confirmed that this alliance is not what we agreed upon before it was formed as a national alliance that derives its decisions according to the national interest, but it became clear to us that it is directed in a way through external dictates, this is a serious violation of Iraqi sovereignty and interference in its internal affairs, so I decided to withdraw from the al-Benaa alliance completely, and that our mission will be focused on standing with the masses demanding reform and change.
