Shafaq News/ 20 protesters were killed on Tuesday after security forces tried to break up a sit-in in Karbala city.

Medical sources told Shafaq News that the number of victims in Karbala hospitals reached 20, and more than 100 wounded.

According to local sources, riot police intervened to break up a sit-in in central Karbala by force using live bullets.

The sources added that "the demonstrators were informed of the need to evacuate the tents of the sit-in; because it negatively affects public life, but the protesters did not comply with the instructions of the security forces;
