The source told “Shafaq News " , that "the meeting of the parliament was postponed today after minutes of conducting the session to the next Sunday ," noting that "the meeting was held by a quorum of 163 but the Second Deputy Speaker , Arif Tayfur demanded to re- verify the number of quorum and it turned out to be 156 MPs present after the withdrawal of some of Motahedoun members so that the parliament decide to delay it to Sunday . "
The parliament has held its meeting on Thursday afternoon in the absence of members of parliament from Kurdistan Alliance , as mentioned by parliamentary source to “Shafaq News", “ as the meeting was held in the presence of 163 MPs , pointing out that the state of law will provide a request signed by 50 MPs to discuss the budget bill in today’s session.
Approving the annual budget of the state has been delayed in spite of the country enter its fourth month of the current year ; due to differences among the political blocs represented in the parliament , as observers and politicians are concerned that this issue would be exploited to delay the budget as a factor in the election campaign for some of the blocs , as the general election has only a few weeks to be conducted.
