Shafaq News/ The Iraqi parliament announced the dissolution of provincial councils, in conjunction with the growing momentum of the protest movement in the country.

The Parliament has held a special session on Sunday to discuss the protesters' demands.

The correspondent of Shafaq News, that the parliament voted to dissolve the provincial councils not organized in a region, and end the work of districts and sub-districts councils.

He added that the parliament voted to authorize the Governor to manage financial and administrative matters, provided that it would be under the parliaments’ supervision and supervise the governors until the elections.

It was also voted that the governors to submit their financial budgets to the Finance Committee in the parliament.
