Shafaq News / The Iraqi forces coalition headed by Muhammad al-Halbousi confirmed on Tuesday, that the names of government ministers in charge of Mustafa al-Kadhimi had not yet reached the parliament.
"As of now, there is no agreement on the ministerial cabinet, despite the close voting session in parliament, so deputies have not seen it yet,” The deputy of the Iraqi Forces coalition, Intisar Al-Jubouri told Shafaq News.
"We expect that the cabinet will be finalized minutes before the voting session as we are used to settling the files in last minutes,” she added.
The Iraqi parliament announced on Monday, that the special session will be held to consider giving confidence to the government of Prime Minister-designate Mustafa Al-Kadhimi next Wednesday evening.
The constitutional deadline before Al-Kadhimi will end on 9 of May 2020 amid the expansion of opponents to pass his government in the past few days, after he was initially supported by the vast majority of political blocs.
If Al-Kadhimi obtains confidence from the parliament, the new government will succeed the government of Prime Minister ,Adel Abdul Mahdi, who resigned in early December 2019 under pressure from popular protests calling for the departure and accountability of the political class accused of corruption and waste of state funds.
