Shafaq News / The Parliamentary Health and Environment Committee called on Sunday on the government to declare "emergency" and disable the country's governmental and private institutions to cope with the outbreak of Corona virus, after the number of infections exceeded 100 cases nationwide.
A committee statement reported to Shafaq News, "From the point of view of protecting the country from the regional and international environment that threatens the spread of the epidemic virus, the Parliamentary Health and Environment Committee calls on the government and the crisis cell formed by Office Order 55 for 2020 to declare a state of emergency for a limited period and to disable the country's governmental and private institutions."
The Committee added, "The declaration of emergency will enable the state to combat this imminent danger according to the available capabilities."
It is noteworthy that the crisis cell in the governorates of Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, Salahuddin, Maysan, Dhi Qar, Babil, and Nineveh decided to impose a curfew, while Karbala governorate is considering taking a similar decision, at a time when the governorates of Basra, Kirkuk, Muthanna and Wasit have announced a ban on movement with other governorates.
