Shafaq News/  A polar depression is forecast to hit four countries, including Iraq, causing heavy rain and snow in some areas as meteorologist , Sadeq Attiyah predicted on Monday.

Attiyah said in a post on his "Facebook" today "there are fixed expectations of low air descent of polar origin this weekend and the beginning of next week on Iraq as well as Syria, Turkey, Kuwait and northern Saudi Arabia."

"It is accompanied by a very cold air mass, which is clearly reducing temperatures and a wave of rain concentrated in the north and center of the country, with chances of snow on the heights of Sulaymaniyah, Erbil and Dohuk," he said.
