Shafaq News / An informed source revealed on Sunday, the number of victims of protests that took place in Wasit province.

The source told Shafaq News that "the protects receded in a remarkable way," noting that "a small number of young people demonstrate yesterday evening."

"The curfew has been lifted and there are meetings with the security chiefs, specifically with the police chief," he said.

The source added, "The services sectors began to work to clean the streets of the city," pointing out that "the total casualties from both sides reached seven dead and about 120 wounded."

He pointed out that "goldsmiths shop owners were informed to empty their valuables and tighten protection on banks and state institutions."
