Shafaq News/ Protesters closed the office of al- Iraqiya state-run TV channel in Maysan province southern Iraq.

This comes in conjunction with the attempt of demonstrators at noon on Tuesday to shut down the official al-Iraqi channel in Dhi Qar province, which is witnessing angry protests for more than a week.

 Dozens of protesters were trying to reach the building of al- Iraqiya media network and al- Iraqiya TV channel in Dhi Qar to shut them down, Shafaq News reporter said.

The reporter added that the security forces constitute a security cordon to stop them.

He said that the protesters object the mechanism of the Iraqi state channel’s coverage to the protests in the capital and Dhi Qar province in particular.
