Shafaq News / Dozens of people in Basra organized on Tuesday, a protest to demand that they start their jobs, after the emergence of their names through the appointments of the province recently.
Shafaq News reporter in the province stated that dozens among 2000,000 job grades appeared in the last lot for appointment in the Sports City, and they organized this morning a protest in front of Basra Oil Company headquarters, demanding that they start work and confirm the company to abide by the appointment decisions.
One of the coordinators of the protest, Ahmed Al-Zaidawi told Shafaq News, that the protest comes after procrastination their demands related to directing 2000 job degrees in the Oil Ministry, among 30 thousand recently announced to various departments, indicating that the names of 2000 people appeared in the lot of the sports city after being announced by the local Basra government earlier.
Al-Zaidawi added that despite the approvals by the Ministry of Oil, this has not been met, stressing that the demonstrations took place in front of the company’s headquarters, where the demonstrators raised banners demanding the Prime Minister and the Governor of Basra to compel the concerned authorities to let them start working.
