Shafaq News / An informed source revealed on Saturday, the truth behind the roads leading to the oil fields in Zubair, Basra province.

The source told Shafaq News that "the situation in Zubair city is normal," noting that "there is no cut off of roads leading to the oil sites."

"The protesters in Safwan continued their sit-in for the sixth day in a row, demanding the government to implement their requests," the source said.

The protesters withdrew on Thursday from the gate of Safwan border crossing with Kuwait, which was opened to the people and goods after they had closed it on Wednesday night.

Safwan port, which links Iraq to Kuwait, is located within the administrative borders of Basra province (590 kilometers south of Baghdad).
