Shafaq News/ The head of the predominantly Sunni province of Salah al-Din said on Monday that the population in the province not going to demonstrations does not necessarily mean that they are satisfies with the general situation.
He said a press conference with the minister of youth and sports and a number of local officials, including the governor, that the failure of demonstrations in Salah al-Din does not mean that the citizens are satisfied with the general situation.
The capital Baghdad and a number of predominantly Shiite provinces had witnessed bloody demonstrations on December in protest against the deterioration of living conditions and service, the prevalence of unemployment in the community, the spread of financial and administrative corruption in state institutions and departments, while the predominantly Sunni provinces remained silent due to the circumstances of their regions as a result of military operations against ISIS.
