Shafaq News/ The security media cell revealed on Sunday the details of the bombing in a football stadium in Daquq, southern Kirkuk.
"The Islamic State terrorist gangs carried out a criminal act on Saturday night after they fired RBG7 shells on a football stadium in Daquq district near the shrine of Imam Zain al-Abidin in Kirkuk province," the cell said in a statement received by Shafaq News in the 16th Brigade in the Popular Crowd.
"The shelling killed six civilians and wounded nine others," it said.
Daquq district is located south of Kirkuk province and on the road leading to the capital Baghdad. The district is inhabited by a mix of Kurdish, Sunni, Turkmen, Shiite and Arab minorities.
