Shafaq News/ The Integrity Commission announced the issuance of an order against the chairman and members of the former director’s board of Najaf airport, on the background of deliberately wasting public money.
In its discussion of the case details that has investigated and referred to the judiciary, the Commission confirmed that Najaf Investigation Court issued a summon order, which is competent to hear cases of integrity, against the former chairman and members of the directors board of Najaf International Airport, based on the provisions of Article 340 of the Penal Code.
The court added, pointing out that the court's summon order came on the background of deliberately wasting public money through defendants issuing warrants outside Iraq without official approvals and without informing the provincial council, contrary to the powers.
It is noteworthy that the Commission had announced earlier this month, the issuance of sixty arrests and summons warrants against deputies and local officials on charges of corruption and wasting public money.
