Shafaq News / The Commission of Integrity revealed the issuance of a summon order against the current governor of Diwaniya, according to the provisions of Article 340 of the Iraqi Penal Code

The Investigation Department of the commission, and in its discussion of the details of the case in which the commission investigated and referred it to the judiciary, pointed that the inquiry court specialized in integrity issues in the governorate issued a summon order to bring the defendant in accordance with the provisions item on the background of the exaggeration in the prices of contracts for purchasing mechanisms for the Governorate Departments.

The department added that the total amounts of contracts that were found to be excessively priced amounted to (23,000,000,000) billion dinars, which caused a waste of public money.

The Commission had announced the issuance of an arrest and investigation order against the President of the Governorate Council based on the provisions of Article (339), while it had revealed the issuance of a recruitment order against the former Governor based on the provisions of Article (331) of the Iraqi Penal Code.
