Shafaq News / The Iraqi forces coalition, led by Mohammad al-Halbousi responded on Saturday, to the Shiite political forces ’rejection for candidates of the ministerial portfolios presented by Sunni forces in Al-Kadhimi’s government.

"Iraq has been based on consensus since 2003 and no bloc can interfere with the decisions and options of another bloc. Everyone must respect the options and decisions of other political blocs, so that Iraq can move away from the crises it is going through on various aspects,” MP of the coalition, Intisar Al-Jubouri told Shafaq News.

"We always respect the choices of the Shiite political forces, and do not interfere with them, as they must respect our choice, just as we always respect the choice of the Shiite political forces for the person of the prime minister, throughout the previous years."

The Iraqi forces coalition concluded by saying that "whoever accuses our candidates of having suspicions or otherwise then there is the Iraqi judiciary to go to and any person who has a suspicious file in the judiciary is held accountable."

A source in Al-Fateh coalition led by Hadi al-Ameri said on Friday that Prime Minister-designate Mustafa al-Kadhimi and the Shiite forces had reached an agreement to replace some of the cabinet candidates in his upcoming government formation.

Muhammad al-Ghabban, head of the Parliamentary Bloc of al-Fateh, led by the Secretary-General of Badr organization , Hadi al-Ameri, announced earlier today that Shiite political forces have refused the approval of Prime Minister-designate Mustafa al-Kadhimi to nominate Kurdish and Sunni blocs to fill ministerial portfolios in his next government.
