Shafaq News / The Iranian authorities evacuated on Thursday, a diplomat   and his family from Iraq to the capital, Tehran, after it was confirmed that members of the family were infected with Corona virus.

An Iraqi official source said today that a private plane transported the Iranian consul in Najaf and his family to Tehran after it was confirmed that some members of the family were infected with Corona.

The Department of Health of Najaf announced yesterday, Wednesday, that "a member of the family of the Consul of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Holy city of Najaf was confirmed to be infected with the Corona virus."

He added after "taking the necessary measures according to the health regulations adopted in such cases, including taking and sending samples and examining them in a laboratory, and after confirming the infection, the consul was contacted and showed full cooperation and understanding of our health procedures, stressing that he and his family will leave to receive treatment in their country within the next few hours”.
