Shafaq News / Iranian Ministry of foreign affairs spokesman, Abbas Moussawi, said on Monday, that both Turkish and Iranian strikes happened at the same time in Kurdistan Region recently, may be nothing but a coincidence.

The Iranian Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) quoted Moussawi saying, "fighting against terrorism is a part of the countries joint work in the region, including Iran, Turkey and Iraq. It is to reason for Iran to defend its borders”.

"Iran is in contact with Iraqi officials in Kurdistan, and they are aware of the operations we carry out against the terrorist party", Moussawi added.

Earlier this month, both Iran and Turkey bombarded areas in Kurdistan, targeting PPK fighters.
