Shafaq News/ The first meeting of the amending the Iraqi Constitution Committee was held this morning in Baghdad.

The Iraqi parliament was formed within packages said to be reformist to meet protesters' demands, a special parliamentary committee to consider amending the constitution.

The committee is made up of 18 parliamentarians from the three main constituencies and minorities.

This committee is supposed to submit a report to the parliament within a period not exceeding four months, including a recommendation of the necessary amendments to the Constitution, provided that the amendments proposed by the Committee shall be submitted in one package for voting and then the amended articles by the parliament shall be submitted to the people for referendum within a period not exceeding two months. .
