Shafaq News / Karkh Investigation Court in the capital, Baghdad, decided on Tuesday to summon the Minister of Agriculture, Saleh Al-Hassani to integrate him regarding his statement in a satellite channel about information related to wasting public money.
“Karkh Investigation Court decided to summon Al-Hassani to conduct an investigation regarding his statement to a satellite channel about allocating $ 90 million from the currency auction for importing unnecessary materials,” The spokesman for the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Abdel Sattar Bayrakdar said in a statement today.
Al-Hassani had said a few days ago, in a television interview with a local satellite channel that Iraq imported buckthorn and garlic with 90 Billion dollar annually in a money-laundering process that took place through the auction of selling currency to the central bank, but the minister’s office later denied the statement.
