Shafaq News/ The Minister of Interior , Yassin al-Yassiri announced on Wednesday the details of freeing the kidnapped Major General , Yasser Abdul Jabbar, director of the Higher Institute in the ministry.

A statement issued by the Information Office of the Minister said that "through continuous daily field follow-up, continuous work and information intersection, an anti-criminality force managed to free the kidnapped Major General Yasser Abdul Jabbar and secure his safety, after clashes with the kidnappers in a remote and abandoned agricultural area outside the capital Baghdad.”

A few days ago, activists circulated on social media a video showing the abduction of Major General Abdul Jabbar, which took place in broad daylight in central Baghdad.
