Shafaq News / The Sadrist movement called on its supporters on Sunday to organize a protest to denounce the attacks against their leader, Muqtada Al-Sadr in the arenas of protests in the regions and cities of central and southern Iraq.

Al-Sadr had recently instructed his supporters to withdraw from the protests that started in the capital, Baghdad and other provinces since early October.

The statement of the movement called for "a protest against the American embassy and its supporters who dared to attack al-Sadr verbally."

The statement defined the protest at the places of Friday prayers for the movement in the governorates, as well as near al-Eshreen revolution bridges in Najaf city.
