Shafaq News / Alliance Towards Reform supported by the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr revealed on Tuesday, the details of the night of "assigning" the leader of the victory coalition, Adnan Al-Zorfi to form the new Iraqi government.
When the constitutional deadline expires today, the President of the Republic has not decided on a specific name, and according to the leaks, it was scheduled for the Iraqi President yesterday evening to assign Adnan Al-Zorfi to form a government, but the opposition of Shiite forces postponed the matter.
The leader in the Alliance, MP Riyadh Al-Masoudi told Shafaq News, "There are Shiite political parties who objected to the process of assigning Adnan Al-Zorfi, including the state of law, Badr Organization, Sadiqoun bloc, and these differences are the reason that Al-Zorfi was not formally assigned last night."
Al-Masoudi said, "The President of the Republic, Barham Salih will carry out the process of assigning the Prime Minister, until there is agreement and Shiite political consensus on the personality of the new president, so his fate will not be the same as that of Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi, and the person in charge may be Adnan Al-Zorfi or may be others." This matter will be decided through the meetings and dialogues. "
