Shafaq News / The head of the Iraqi Turkmen Front, MP, Arshad al-Salihi, confirmed on Saturday the results of their discussions with the official in charge of forming the government, Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi.
Al-Salhi said in a statement received by Shafaq News, "We have held several meetings with Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Allawi, and the latter insists that the cabinet would be technocrats, which is rejected by the major political parties."
He added that "the cabinet contains five ministers from the women's section," noting that "some Shiite parties insist that their ministers remain, and Erbil also wants to keep the Minister of Finance in the cabinet."
He pointed out that "Allawi stressed the representation of the Turkmen in the cabinet, and he insists on announcing the cabinet at the beginning of next week, regardless of the parties' vision."
He added, "We should, as far as possible, remove Kirkuk from the conflict circle, specifically Daquq area and keep ISIS away," conserving "targeting Kiwan missile base as a serious accident," noting that "the areas from which the missiles were launched are mainly safe areas."
