Shafaq News/ Some banks in southern Iraq have informed public sector employees that salary payments was postponed for a week on the background of the protests, Al -Arabiya television reported on Wednesday.

"These banks justified the postponement of salary payments by closing roads and not being able to transfer salaries," the satellite channel said, quoting its reporters.
