The channel said that it had obtained a video showing about 2,500 Iraqi soldiers in a desert area to the east of the Iraqi city of Karbala after they withdrew from their positions on the border and left the border area with Saudi Arabia and Syria without a guard.

A Saudi official  had announced last June that all security forces in the Kingdom are on high alert after the Saudi monarch, King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz orderedto take all the necessary actions to counter any possible terrorist acts on the background of the worsening security situation countries in the region, particularly Iraq.
