Shafaq News / Wasit is devoid of Corona virus as the last case has recovered, Official medical source said on Tuesday.

Laboratory tests conducted by Wasit Health Department of a woman with corona showed that she had recovered completely, the source told Shafaq News.

The source added that the woman is the last infected with the disease and thus the province is free of the virus.

Since the outbreak of the virus, Wasit Governorate has recorded 36 cases, including one death, while 34 cases have recovered.

on Monday, Najaf Governorate announced that it is free of Corona virus after the recovery of the last two people infected with the virus.

The head of the crisis cell, Louay Al-Yasiri said in a brief statement, reported to Shafaq News Agency, that "Najaf is free of any infection with Corona virus after the recovery of the last two cases as they left Al-Hakim Hospital."
