Shafaq News / The President of Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani recalled on Thursday the chemical attack launched by Baath regime in the eighties of the last century on areas in Kurdistan.

Barzani tweeted “Today is the 33rd anniversary of the start of Baath regime’s chemical attacks against civilians in Kurdistan. We remember and honor the victims of April 16, 1987 attacks in Sheikh Wasan and Balisan Valley. They will forever remain in the hearts of the people of Kurdistan.”
