Shafaq News / Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF) declared on Wednesday, the amount of aid provided to families in need in Kurdistan Region in light of Corona crisis and the curfew.
"The aid has been delivered to more than 37,000 families through the hotline, we have so far received more than 45,000 calls,” Head of BCF , Mosa Ahmed said in a press conference.
"The aid reached most of the districts and sub-districts in Kurdistan Region as well as some villages," stressing, "We do not differentiate among people, whether is it a resident of the region, a displaced person or a refugee to the region,” Ahmed pointed out.
The Head of Barzani Charitable Foundation pointed out that "this aid is provided with the support of some international charitable institutions, such as the charitable organization and Kuwait General Secretariat, as well as generous people in Kurdistan Region."
Since the 16th of last March, BCF has provided food baskets to families with low incomes, in line with the decision to curfew in the cities of Kurdistan Region.
