Shafaq News / The Ministry of Health of Kurdistan Region announced, on Monday, the arrival of a special device to check Corona virus in the region.
On Monday, the Minister of Health in Kurdistan Region, Saman Al-Barzanji announced the quarantine of more than 1,200 citizens returning from Iran to the region.
Al-Barzanji said in a press conference held today in Erbil that the President of Kurdistan Regional Government is in constant contact to follow up the procedures designed to prevent the virus from spreading in the region, adding that Kurdistan Ministry of Health is also in continuous communication with the Iraqi Ministry of Health for the same purpose.
He added, "We announce the allocation of hotlines in the regions and cities of Kurdistan Region in order to monitor any suspected case, such as being a tourist or infected who returned from the countries that have the virus," saying, "We will have a rapid response in dealing with the suspects."
The minister stressed that "the best way to follow the prevention of the virus is to monitor suspected cases," stressing that " until now no suspected cases of disease or actually infected have been recorded."
He pointed out that in 13 regions of the cities of Kurdistan Region, Erbil, Dohuk and Sulaymaniyah, have allocated quarantines to returnees from Iran, as they will be subject to health control for 14 days, revealing that 1,249 citizens of returnees from Iran are currently subjected to health control.
