Shafaq News/ The provincial council of Erbil hosted in a session held on Monday the head of the local government, Firsat Sofi, to get acquainted with his work plan for the coming years.
Sofe said during the hosting session that the local government has obtained the approval of a loan for the completion of a very important strategic project is the liquidation of heavy water, noting that this project has been approved by the federal government, and the project will enter into effect during the next period and within the next two years will be completed.
He added that three million dollars have been allocated from the same loan to replace drinking water pipes in Erbil, noting that the local government is seeking to compensate a number of neighborhoods in the city center, and the payment of financial compensation for its people to turn them into heritage markets that attract foreign tourists, as well as the ancient castle that will become a big market.
Sofi said that the 120-meter project will be completed by the end of this year.
"We have a shortage in schools and hospitals and we call on all those who want to serve the province and those who have the ability to contribute to the construction of schools and hospitals," he said.
