Shafaq News / Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) delegation held a meeting on Wednesday with Iraqi government officials led by Deputy Prime Minister and Oil Minister, Thamer Al-Ghadban.
One of the delegation's companions told Shafaq News that the meeting is "important" and will discuss the outstanding files between Baghdad and Kurdistan and the salaries of the region's employees.
The delegation of Kurdistan Region, that arrived in Baghdad yesterday, is headed by Qubad Talabani and accompanied by several officials, including Minister of Finance and Economy Awat Sheikh Janab and Chief of the Cabinet Office ,Omid Sabah.
The delegation held its first meeting with the United States Ambassador to Iraq Matthew Tueller.
Talabani said that his visit to Baghdad comes to solve problems and end them between the region and the federal government based on the constitution and previous understandings.
Regarding Mustafa Al-Kadhimi's mandate to form the new government, Talabani indicated that the Kurds will not constitute an obstacle to forming this government, but will be part of the solution to establish security and stability in Iraq and work to end all outstanding issues between the two parties.
