Shafaq News / German Minister of State for Foreign Affairs , Niels Annen said on Sunday that Kurdistan Region is a bright example of governance in Iraq.

This came during a meeting with the Prime Minister of Kurdistan, Masrour Barzani on the sidelines of the third and last day of Munich Security Conference, which is hosted by Germany with wide international participation.

A statement of the regional government received by Shafaq News, mentioned that the two sides discussed "the overall developments in Iraq and the region in general, and ways of strengthening relations between Germany and Kurdistan Region."

The German Minister of State for Foreign Affairs praised the experience of Kurdistan Region in establishing security and prosperity, and said " Kurdistan Region is a bright example of governance in Iraq."

During the meeting, it the need to continue support and coordination between Peshmerga forces and the Iraqi army was stressed to address the threats of ISIS threats, according to the statement.

The Prime Minister of Kurdistan Regional Government continues to hold his final meetings with senior officials in the world during Munich Conference, which was launched from 14-16 of current month.
