Shafaq News / Jaffar Sheikh Mustafa, Vice President of Kurdistan Region confirmed on Saturday the suspension of training tasks for Peshmerga forces in order to prevent the spread of the new Corona virus among the ranks of its elements.

Sheikh Mustafa said in a statement made to reporters today that health labs must be set up in all Peshmerga forces sites in order for their elements to be subjected permanently to medical checks to ensure their safety.

Sheikh Jaafar affirmed continuing to suspend Peshmerga training tasks without specifying the date for resuming them again.

The Ministry of Peshmerga announced at the end of last February the suspension of training tasks in all training centers of the ministry for a short period.
