Shafaq News / As part of his visit to Baghdad at the head of a high-level government delegation, the Deputy Prime Minister of Kurdistan Region, Qubad Talabani, received at his residence in Baghdad today, the United States Ambassador to Iraq Matthew Tueller.
In the meeting, which was attended by Minister of Finance and Economy Awat Sheikh Janab and Chief of the Cabinet Office, Omid Sabah, the two sides discussed the latest developments and measures related to combating the outbreak of Corona virus, in addition to the outstanding problems between Kurdistan Region and Baghdad and the efforts to form a new federal government.
Talabani said that his visit to Baghdad comes to solve problems and end them between the region and the federal government based on the constitution and previous understandings.
Regarding Mustafa Al-Kadhimi's mandate to form the new government, Talabani indicated that the Kurds will not constitute an obstacle to forming this government, but will be part of the solution to establish security and stability in Iraq and work to end all outstanding issues between the two parties.
