Shafaq News/ The Head of Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) ,Masrour Barzani has made orders to receive refugees from the Kurdish areas in Syria to the cities of the region will all facilities formally exclusively.
This was announced by the Minister of Interior of Kurdistan Region , Reber Ahmed to reporters.
"The head of KRG has ordered that the displaced and refugees from Rojava be received with all the necessary facilities," Ahmed said.
"The relevant authorities in the province have taken all preparations for this and have already received 5000 people so far," he added.
He also stressed that the borders of the province are open to receive refugees and displaced people as before , and through official roads exclusively.
He explained that all the procedures of receiving and sheltering refugees and displaced people are the responsibility of KRG, with the help of the United Nations.
He also called on the international community to help KRG in this regard.
Residents of the Kurdish areas in Syria have fled to Kurdistan region of Iraq due to the military operation launched by Turkey recently.
Kurdistan hosts some 250,000 refugees, the majority of whom are from Syria, with the exception of IDPs from other Iraqi regions.
