Shafaq News / The Ministry of Health of Kurdistan Regional Government announced on Saturday that no new cases of Corona virus were recorded during the past 24 hours, noting that only 20 cases are still receiving medical care throughout the region.
In the statement No. (75) of the Ministry, reported to Shafaq News, about its measures to combat the emerging COVID-19 virus in the region, the total number of people who have been quarantined so far (10342) are people who have returned from outside the region or are in contact with infected people confirmed to carry the virus, noting that the number of people remaining in quarantine so far is (1233) people from (32) different places, among them (502) from Erbil, (128) from Sulaimaniyah, (602) in Dohuk and (1) in Rapren.
The statement added that the number of people who left quarantine is 9109 people and went back to their homes after they spent 14 days of quarantine following laboratory tests that approved they do not carry the virus, noting that the number of people who were quarantined during the past 24 hours was 71 people in all regions.
The statement indicated that the ministry during the past 24 hours conducted 733 tests at the level of Kurdistan Region, including 184 tests in Erbil , 269 in Sulaimaniyah and 280 in Duhok, pointing out that the results were all negative and no infection was recorded.
The statement outlined the number of those infected with the new COVID-19 virus in Kurdistan Region with 391 infected people, of whom 5 died, pointing to that 366 people fully recovered, while only 20 remained infected under medical care.
The statement thanked all doctors, health staff and medical teams, once again requesting citizens to adhere to health instructions and stay away from crowded places, and call the hotline 122 in the necessary cases.
