Shafaq News / The governor of Sulaymaniyah, Haval Abu Bakr renewed on Saturday his call to residents to stay in their homes and follow the health instructions and guidelines issued to prevent corona virus, confirming that the decision to impose a curfew is going well.
Abu Bakr said in a statement today that the decision to impose curfew within the administrative borders of Sulaymaniyah is proceeding very well.
He added that there are no violations in resorts.
The authorities in the region decided to cancel Nowruz celebration and the Kurdish New Year in order to contain Corona virus after recording dozens of infections and deaths.
For its part, the Mayor of Erbil Governorate issued a strongly worded warning to those who visit the parks, confirming that they will seize the wheels of violators.
On Friday, the Ministry of Interior in the Kurdistan Regional Government imposed a 48-hour curfew in the governorates of Erbil and Sulaymaniyah, and then extended the ban to 72, and for the third time to extend the ban for another five days until 23/3/2020 to include all provinces of the region.
