Shafaq News / Two fatalities due to Corona virus have been registered today in Sulaymaniyah province, according to the Ministry of Health of Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG).

“The ministry said that two men infected with the novel  coronavirus (COVID19), one of whom is 51 years old and the other 85 from Sulaimaniyah city passed away in the hospital , KRG Health Ministry’s statement received by Shafaq News Agency read.

The Ministry offered condolences to the families of the two men, stressing the need for citizens to commit to health instructions.

The administration of the "Martyr Tahir Ali Wali" hospital in Sulaymaniyah governorate announced on Thursday the death of a man infected with the novel Corona virus.

The infected dead man was 53 from Sulaymaniyah residents , according to a statement issued by the hospital today.

The Ministry also added that 5 active cases have been recorded in Raprin districts’ administration on Thursday .

While on Wednesday, KRG Ministry of Health announced the discovery of 50 new infections in Sulaymaniyah governorate and Raprin districts’ administration.

It should be noted that KRG Health authorities announced, on Wednesday that it has recorded 104 new cases of coronavirus , bringing the total number of active cases to 849 . KRG advises anyone in the Kurdistan Region displaying coronavirus symptoms to call its emergency hotline on 122.

The Kurdistan Region as a whole has recorded 905 cases of COVID-19. Of this number, 441 have recovered and 14 have died, with 450 cases remaining active.
